15 Years in Prison for Man Who Possessed Child Pornography

Anthony Moore Green, 41, of Crystal River will serve 15 years in prison for possession of child pornography. He will be designated a sexual offender for the rest of his life.

The events that led to the arrest of Green began when a coworker found child pornography on his cellphone depicting girls younger than 10 years old. Later, Green’s then-girlfriend discovered more images depicting children between the ages of 3 and 14, tied to an email account Green admitted was his.

During the investigation, Green admitted to officials that he conducted the searches for child pornography. He also admitted to viewing child pornography and to saving it on his device.  Green said he has been viewing child pornography since he was a juvenile.

Summarizing the case to Citrus County Circuit Court Judge Richard “Ric” Howard at sentencing, Assistant State Attorney Debra Munchel said Green’s collection of unlawful pornography contained “the worst thing you could imagine being done to a child.”

Assistant State Attorney Debra Munchel prosecuted the case.
