Assistant State Attorney Erin Corcoran Daly was named Prosecutor of the Year by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody. Daly has served the Fifth Circuit in our Hernando County office for 15 years and is assigned to the Special Victim’s Unit specializing and sex crimes and crimes against children.
The Attorney General honored Daly during the 2021 Human Trafficking Summit on Oct. 5. Daly said that she was humbled to receive the award.
“It’s such a privilege to work with the dedicated child protective investigators, law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and all the organizations, public and private, who are continuously advocating and battling to keep our most defenseless citizens and children safe and to punish the perpetrators of these atrocious crimes,” she said. “The survivors who have the courage to come forward and share their stories make these challenging cases possible and are the true heroes deserving of praise (and) on behalf of these nameless victims, I am truly honored to be recognized in this fight to end exploitation of our most vulnerable citizens.”
