Interns Madison and Aspen from the State Attorney's Office in Hernando County delivered boxes of toiletries, clothing and other supplies collected by SAO employees for the New Beginnings Youth Shelter in Brooksville. The shelter serves youth between the ages of 10 and 17 in Hernando, Sumter and Citrus counties.
The collection was organized by SAO employee Erin Daly. Daly is on the leadership counsel for the New Beginnings Youth Shelter. She organized the drive in the SAO’s Citrus and Hernando County offices after a meeting with the shelter where they expressed an immediate need for toiletries and other items.
“I have been organizing collection drives for New Beginnings for a few years now, and I am always overwhelmed by the generosity of my coworkers and this community,” said Daly.
Daly has been a prosecutor with the Fifth Judicial Circuit since 2006. She works in the Hernando County office where she specializes in sex crimes and child abuse cases.
