Employees Raise $1,233.04 in Honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month

State Attorney’s Office employees from the Hernando County office presented a check in the amount of $1,233.04 to MFCS, Inc. Children's Advocacy Center of Hernando County. Employees raised the funds throughout the month of April in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Employees sold snacks and collected donations at the courthouse and within the office throughout the month of April to benefit the Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) of Hernando County, which is a child-friendly facility that responds to children who are victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse, threatened harm, drug-endangerment, mental injury, neglect, and witnesses of domestic violence. The State Attorney's Office and the CAC work closely year round in the prosecution of cases involving children.
