The week of April 18-24 the Office of the State Attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit will join organizations across the country to celebrate National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. This week is a time to renew our commitment to serving all victims of crime and to remember crime victims and survivors.
For 32 years, the five State Attorney’s Offices across the Fifth Judicial Circuit have invited loved ones to come together at ceremonies throughout the week to honor the lives of the people they’ve lost. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be one ceremony, conducted virtually, to honor all victims across the circuit.
Invitations go out this week inviting loved ones to join us in watching a special video on the State Attorney’s Office website, www.sao5.org. The video will be featured on the homepage throughout National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. We welcome everyone to tune in!
