Volunteer Program

The State Attorney’s Office is always seeking volunteers to assist in its offices across the Circuit. Volunteers can choose the amount of time to dedicate to the office and the way they would like to participate. Volunteer activities include, but are not limited to, evidence review, discovery exchange, courtroom observation, or administrative tasks.

We welcome people with all types of backgrounds and experience including retired professionals such as attorneys, judges, accountants, and law enforcement officers.

Prior to participating as a volunteer, candidates must undergo a criminal background check, including fingerprinting. Volunteers are considered a member of the State Attorney's Office family and staff and are responsible for following all office policies and procedures.
